Swedish applicants

Have a look at our brochure in Swedish which is being handed out to high school students all over Sweden these days, during Studentum's Studiestartsturne.

Swedish citizens are most welcome to apply to both Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz (the medical faculties of the Nicolaus Copernicus University) and Poznan University of Medical Sciences. The number of applicants from Sweden is increasing year by year, and we expect the number of Swedish students to continue increasing in 2012, both in Poznan and in Bydgoszcz.

In 2012 offer interviews and tests for Swedish applicants to PUMS Poznan in Stockholm and Malmö, and for Collegium Medicum in Stockholm and Göteborg.

Admission requirements

In order to be considered as a new student at one of these universities, swedish applicants will need to have completed high school and have grundläggande högskolebehörighet.

Many of the 2012 applicants complete high school in 2012, and we consider their applications by checking their transcripts with grades (betyg) from the first two years and the first semester of the third year (autumn 2011 grades).

For the medicine and dentistry programs we recommend that you have the following subjects:

  • Kemi A och Kemi B
  • Biologi A och Biologi B
  • Fysik A

You may apply even if you lack one or two of these subjects. The requirements are usually highest for the Medical program in Poznan, and a little more flexible for the Dentistry program in Poznan and the Medical program at Collegium Medicum, NCU in Bydgoszcz.

For the Physiotherapy program in Poznan, biology is the most important subject, and you will need to have at least Biologi A, or some other biology course.

For the Apotekare / Pharm.D. program in Poznan, chemistry is the most important subject, and you will need to have at least Kemi A, or some other chemistry course.

Your subjects and grades will determine your chances for admission in combination with your test and interview results (PUMS Poznan) / interview results (Collegium Medicum Bydgoszcz). Work experience, voluntary work etc. may also be of some importance in this regard.

Application and deadlines

Here you will find information about application deadlines for our admission tests and interviews in 2012. Please note that our first application deadline is February 15th, for the PUMS Poznan interviews and tests in Malmö March 7th. and in Stockholm March 8th, 2012.

If your deadline is drawing close, we will usually accept your application if you send us an email with your completed and signed application form and a copy of your betyg (final diploma or temporary transcript) within deadline, and provide other documents by e-mail/post as soon as you are able to get them.
