How to apply - some basic information
Here
you wil find information on the student recruitment, tests and
interviews in 2011.

guide in English for the universities here:
Poznan
University of Medical Sciences, Poznan
Collegium
Medicum, Nicolaus Copernicus University, Bydgoszcz
Both universities have obligatory admission interviews for all
applicants. The interviews are held by professors from each
university, in cooperation with the Scandinavian Director of
Admissions, Mr. Thor Kristian Hanisch of Agder
Vitenskapsakademi.
The interviews focus mainly on issues within the fields of
Biology, Chemistry and Physics. You will usually also be questioned
about issues such as work experience and experience from voluntary
work, sports and other leisure time activities. We recommend that
you prepare for the interview also by reflecting on your motivation
and personal qualifications for studying and for entering the
profession in question.
From 2010, PUMS Poznan has also introduced a written multiple choice test which you need to complete before the interview, (the same day). The test consists of questions from the fields of Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Most applicants prepare for the interview by reading (again) their high school books in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Since the test and interview are held in English, it is an advantage for you if you also try to prepare for the interview by reading Biology, Chemistry and Physics books in English, or at least try to get to know some basic English concepts.
For optimal preparation for the test and interview, PUMS Poznan
offers this list of recommended (but not obligatory) books for
preparation for the interview:
Physics:
D.C. Giancoli, Physics, Principles with applications, Prentice
Hall, ISBN 0-13-6722411-6
Medical Chemistry:
Karen C. Timberlake: General, Organic, and Biological Chemistry.
Structures of life. ISBN 0-321-04283-2, The Benjamin/Cummings
Publishing Company, Inc., 2002

080537146X / 0-8053-7146-X, The Benjamin/Cummings Publishing

Familiarizing with the above books will enable the non-native
speaker candidates to get to know specialist English vocabulary
from Physics, Biology and Chemistry.
